Earlier in February, we launched Zing, calling it Phase One. It was a pilot, more or less, with the goal of testing assumptions and keeping things simple and manageable. Would this thing even work?
Turns out, it works pretty well!
With our first three restaurants and nearly 40 contractors, we filled over 150 dishwashing shifts in Toronto. Our web app for employers continues to add features, and we’re working on the companion mobile app for contractors. We also attended the Collision Tech conference in Toronto as an Alpha startup and met a ton of excellent people, potential partners, and more.
With a starting model for shift matching and managing the supply and demand of part-time work, we’re now officially moving to Phase Two.
Zing Launch: Phase Two
Phase Two is about growth and evolving out of alpha phase. Our key milestones / objectives:
- Expand userbase. We’re already up to ten restaurants at the time of writing,
- Build advisory board.
- Seeking initial funding, grow team.
