THE FIVE TIERS
Zings loops are the universal measure of performance on the platform. Teammates earn pink loops. Spots earn teal loops. Both move through the same five-tier structure — because excellence should be recognized across the entire network.
HOW RATINGS ARE CALCULATED
Skill Level
Technical execution for your specific role. Assessed at onboarding through the THSS and updated via post-shift ratings from Spots. Scores reflect verified real-world performance, not claimed qualifications.
Grooming & Presentation
Professional appearance as rated by the Spot's management team after each shift. Scored in the context of the service environment — fine dining holds higher standards than casual, and your score accounts for that.
Communication
Quality of interaction with guests, management instructions received and executed, and teamwork in a new environment. Rated by both management and, where applicable, floor supervisors who worked alongside you.
Motivation & Drive
Punctuality, initiative, attitude during slow periods, and overall effort throughout the shift. Spots rate this separately from skill because attitude and aptitude are not the same thing — and both matter.
Adaptability
How quickly and smoothly you integrated into a new team, how you handled unexpected changes during service, and your general flexibility under pressure. Critical for flex workers who move between multiple environments.
Warmth & Hospitality
The guest-facing intangible that makes genuine hospitality possible. Rated by management through observation of guest interactions. Warmth scores compound slowly — they require consistent evidence across many shifts to reach their peak.

After every shift, Teammates rate the Spot — the environment, the management, the communication, and how aligned it was with the Spot's posted profile. Spots earn teal loops using the same five-tier structure.
