STRARRZING PROGRAM
Spots that maintain Good Standing earn Community Stars — and a share of platform revenue.
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY STARS?
Community Stars are Zing's recognition tier for Spots that go beyond simply using the platform — they actively contribute to the health of the network. Stars are earned by maintaining Good Standing (3+ Zings loops) consistently over time, completing shifts reliably, and receiving positive reviews from Teammates.
Earning a Community Star isn't just about bragging rights. Star holders access the Community Pool — an annual distribution of a percentage of platform revenue, divided among Spots who have demonstrated genuine commitment to fair, excellent, and consistent hospitality operations.
It pays to be excellent. Literally.

THE COMMUNITY POOL
The Community Pool is a percentage of total platform shift revenue, set aside annually and distributed to Star-holding Spots based on their Star tier and the consistency of their performance throughout the year.
A ONE STAR Spot receives a base distribution. TWO STAR Spots receive a larger share. THREE STAR Spots receive the maximum distribution — reflecting their sustained, platform-wide contribution to a better hospitality workforce.
The Pool is distributed annually, with the calculation based on verified Zings data from the preceding year. Spots are notified of their tier status and estimated distribution in Q4 of each year.
How the Pool Works
Platform Generates Revenue
Every matched shift contributes a percentage to the annual Community Pool reserve.
Star Tiers Are Verified
At year-end, Zing verifies each Spot's sustained Zings loops score and Star eligibility.
Annual Distribution
Pool funds are distributed proportionally to Star holders. THREE STAR Spots receive the maximum share.
HOW TO EARN STARS
Maintain 3+ Zings Loops
Your Spot must sustain a 3-loop (Good Standing) Zings rating across the year. This is calculated as a rolling average of your Teammate ratings — so consistency matters more than a single great month. One sustained period of poor performance can delay your Star eligibility.
Consistent Shift Completion
Star-eligible Spots demonstrate reliable shift completion rates. Cancellations at the last minute, unfilled commitments, or patterns of disorganization are tracked and reflected in your Standing. Platform reliability is part of what Community Stars certify.
Positive Teammate Reviews
Teammates rate their experience at your Spot after every shift — the work environment, management communication, and alignment with your posted profile. Stars are awarded to Spots whose Teammates consistently report positive, professional, and fair experiences. The network's honesty keeps everyone accountable.
"We joined Zing to solve a staffing problem. We earned our Community Stars because we never stopped trying to be a Spot that people actually want to work at."
